I was trained as an
English teacher and though that was a very rewarding career path I decided that a change of
careers was needed.
PeacefulPigs
Collectables was on its way.
At first I concentrated on eBay sales but after many customer requests
made the decision to expand into a store of our own
and here it is. My sincere thanks to the many, many customers who
have
unflinchingly supported us through the beginning years.
Vietnam
is a very beautiful place and now that the war is in the past the
country is doing very well. The government is stable and
effective. People's lives are becoming better with every
passing year. Economic and other growth has been spectacular
for over a decade.
All things considered it's a wonderful and exciting time to live in
or visit Vietnam and I invite
each of you for a visit or a return visit. You will find
it a fantastic and very safe spot to vacation; a time to find out what
Vietnam is all about now that peace and prosperity have chased away the
hard war time years and those which followed for a time.

I have degrees in both English and in Vietnamese literature of which I
am very proud. To my mom I am eternally grateful for the many
sacrifices she made so that I could attend university. We were
poor when I grew up but mom gave me all she could. Her love
and encouragement pushed me always forward in good directions.
No matter what my plans were my mom always encouraged me to follow
my own path for better or worse. A better mom one could not
ask for ... Thanks Mom!
My husband grew up, lived, and
worked in the metropolitan New York City area for most of his life
and is now retired. He does the dishes and gives me the
odd tip on writing but otherwise is content to put his feet up and
rest. He was for many years occupied in his own
business and wants nothing more to
do with being in business.
Again, thanks to the many original customers and welcome to new
